Big and tall shirts
If you’re in the market for big and tall shirts you be pleased to hear that shopping for big mens clothes has been getting a whole lot easier – at least if you have internet access and a credit card. Shopping for the “big and tall shirts” range of men’s clothes used to be a nightmare, but more companies are starting to realize that as a nation the number of men who for the big and/or tall category is increasing at quite a substantial rate.
This is good news for men like us as it means there’s a much wider choice of big and tall mens clothing, especially big and tall shirts. I’ve found a few big mens clothes stores online recently that actually sell decent looking and good quality clothes. From suits, dress shirts, big and tall t shirts, trousers, jeans, mens clothing accessories (like belts etc) and even large size shoes (finding a size 15 has always been pretty tough), but now I can buy them online and have them shipped direct to my door. How cool is that.
There’s also a new retailer opened up in my local shopping mall that specializes in big and tall shirts (t shirts, big and tall dress shirts, casual shirts – you name it), so I can find some great looking clothes at realistic prices. Being able to dress smart gives you an extra boost in confidence, especially compared to the types of clothes I’ve worn in the past. Those large and loose fitting sports wear clothes (you know the ones I mean?) just don’t do anything to help your appearance, and when you’re not looking your best, you’re not feeling your best inside either. So to me, looking good goes a long way to feeling good about yourself.
If you’re looking to add to or even replace he contents of your wardrobe, here’s some tips when shopping for big and tall mens shirts (and all your big and tall mens clothes for that matter):
Buy clothes that fit well. A lot of larger men that I know (either big or tall or both) tend to think by wearing loose fitting clothes they will somehow hide their shape and figure. This simply doesn’t work, it just makes you look drab and gives the impression that you’re not interested in how you look (which is exactly the opposite of how you really feel). So find the big and tall shirt that fits well – not to loose but not to tight either.
Watch your colors. Dark colored shirts will show (and even highlight) sweat patches if you get overheated. White shirts don’t, even when they’re wet.
Mix and match your patterns. If you’re wearing a suit and tie, don’t wear the same pattern on all of them. If you wear all stripes or all checks it accentuates your figure and will only make you look bigger. Wear plain colors where possible, and if you have a pin striped suit go for a plain or light checked shirt and contrasting tie.
Make good use of mens clothing accessories. Wear a belt to break up the flow from your big and tall shirts to your trousers.
